A coastal restoration scene along a Wharekaho-inspired shoreline, depicted without people. Newly planted native seedlings—pohutukawa, harakeke, and grasses—are carefully spaced along a gently sloping dune, supported by small wooden stakes and biodegradable guards. The sand is pale and fine, dotted with footprints that stop just outside the frame. In the background, the ocean glows soft teal under a bright but slightly diffused sky, with low headlands framing the bay. Late-afternoon natural light casts warm highlights on the young plants and subtle shadows behind each guard. Captured from a low angle, one seedling stands in sharp focus in the foreground while the beach and sea blur into a soft bokeh, creating a hopeful, forward-looking mood that reflects environmental kaitiakitanga and community-focused charitable work.
